you just FEAR time cube guy You forget; his arguments are "so powerful that it's not necessary to talk about it." I can't find it now, but I did read a good blog entry from somebody a few years ago who attended the Gene Ray open lecture at MIT (or Georgia tech?) and they said that the guy came across as quite a nice old eccentric in person. The blog writer thought that some of the students resorted to ad-hominem attacks, and behaved quite poorly in the face of an argument that they could never win. I miss the good old days of the internet when usenet and early sites such as all the Geocities pages seemed to be full of cranks like this. The world needs the odd nutcase to remind us that you can never win an argument with logic when the other party is crazy. |
