Hello fellow Skeptics! o/
Pretty much everyone I talked to tonight asked me about the idea I posted a little while ago about a second meetup. So I'm guessing we have a fair amount of interest lol and I will take up the task of sorting this out. some people have already given me possible places for venues, however please suggest more, either leave a message in this tread or send me an email... Also what night will be best for people??? I'll get onto sorting it out this weekend. I think we should just get something going and we can change things as need be... (please refer to the original "idea" under the ideas tab for what the intended setting would be for the second meeting and feel free to suggest new ideas about it) |

I second a second. One that's on a different day of the week from the "main" one (eg one on 1st Thurs of every month, and another on the 3rd Mon of every month).
People may like both the meets to be exactly the same format (eg quiz, speaker, cover-charge, location). Or people may like the 2nd meet to be more informal (eg no speaker). Personally speaking, the more time there is to drink and talk with my fellow skeptics, the better ... so I'd probably be leaning for the 2nd one to be more informal. Or perhaps there could be a topic of the week that someone could mention to get things going. |

I third a second! This idea sounds great to me. I'd go to both meetings each month. I like the idea of no speaker at the Mon meeting (could be tricky to find two speakers per month anyway) but it would still be good to have something to unite the group. Even if it's just everyone in a private room sitting around with a general group discussion for 15-20 minutes - just sharing ideas, experiences, humourous stories etc. I like the idea of a topic too, as suggested by Swynndla. Or we could do the quiz on this night.

I vote for a Monday or Tuesday night, as I currently have another meeting on Thursday nights.
